Protests over Telangana: Fasting TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu evicted by police, moved to RML hospital
As part of TDP's protests against the formation of Telangana state, Naidu has been fasting in the Bhavan for the past five days.

A team of doctors comprising a cardiologist, two physicians and four resident doctors at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital are monitoring the condition of 63-year-old Naidu, who is on a fast against bifurcation of Andra Pradesh.
His health parameters are within "normal range" except that he is mildly dehydrated and ketons in the urine are 3+, they said.
"Ketone 3+ indicates that the body is drawing strength from the last of the calories reserved. We tried giving him intravenous DNS and vitamins but he refused saying that he wants to continue the fast," said Dr H K Kar, Medical Superitendent of RML hospital.
His blood pressure was 150/70, pulse 100 which is on the higher side, sugar 85, ketone 3+ and he is mildly dehydrated, Kar said.
Watch: Chandrababu Naidu evicted, forced to end fast
Naidu was evicted from the Andhra Bhavan in Delhi and moved to the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital. Delhi Police forcibly evicted the TDP chief, even as his party workers created chaos outside the Bhavan and resisted all attempts to remove Naidu.

Naidu, whom observers say is now fighting a political battle for survival in the state of which he was once chief minister, has also accused Congress of entering into an "arrangement" with TRS and YSR Congress vis-a-vis the bifurcation decision.

Political pundits are predicting that while Congress and TRS would gain in Telangana, Jaganmohan Reddy's YSR Congress party could make big waves in the Seemandhra region.
