NEW DELHI: Protesters today gathered outside Police Headquarters and AIIMS for the second day today to express solidarity with the five-year-old girl who was raped by her neighbour and demanded the resignation of Commissioner Neeraj Kumar.

Though not in high numbers, the protesters of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) shouted slogans against Kumar and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Traffic was not affected at both the sites where protesters have gathered.

Yesterday, there were protests at PHQ, AIIMS, Gandhinagar Police station and residences of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde.

The five-year-old girl was brutally raped and assaulted allegedly by her neighbour while being held captive and starved for two days in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar. She also contracted infection from foreign objects inserted in her body.
