VARANASI: Various social organisations burnt the symbolic effigies of terrorism in the temple city to protest against the suspected terror attack in a mosque in Hyderabad which left five persons dead and scores of others injured on Friday.

A group of protesters under the banner of Hindu-Muslim Ekta Manch congregated in the chowk area and burnt the effigies of terrorism and shouted slogans against the terrorist and subversive elements for their terror attacks.

Flaying the blast in Hyderabad, the Manch convenor Ravikant Vishwakarma said terrorist elements were trying to create wedge between the people on communal lines by targetting religious shrines and places of worship.
