Protest in Srinagar over likely PDP-BJP alliance
SRINAGAR: Dozens of youth belonging to little-known Kashmir Citizens Forum (KCF) on Tuesday took out a procession here against People's Democratic Party (PDP)'s likely alliance with the BJP.

They held banners, placards and shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Every Kashmiri knows the anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim credentials of the BJP. We want to caution (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed not to form any alliance with the Hindu nationalists," said a masked protester.

PDP spokesman Naeem Akhtar said they were taking note of all the responses. "They (KCF) have every right to think their way," he said. "We are weighing all options and discussions within our party are on."

The protest came a day before PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti is scheduled to meet governor NN Vohra over the government formation.
