Property attachment orders against three tea estates in Assam
TEZPUR: Assam government today issued an order for attachment of property against three tea estates in Tezpur sub-division which failed to pay revenue for three years.

The three tea gardens - Ghagra Tea Estate, Panbari Tea Estate and Singri Tea Estate - are yet to pay Rs 6,46,026, Rs 3,84,621 and Rs 3,20,888 respectively, for three revenue years from 2011-12, a government press release said yesterday.

In exercise of power conferred vide Rule 69 of the Assam Land Revenue Regulation 1886, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sonitpur Mukul Kumar Saikia has issued the order for the attachment of movable property of the three tea estates.

Saikia also said that steps had been taken for attachment of the movable property of other defaulting tea estates in the district, according to the release. PTI HI please check if these stories are already there before putting them
