Proper health services for devotees at Nashik Kumbh Mela
The district administration has made special arrangements to provide health services at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar for Simhastha Kumbh. Mela'.

It has also set up 'Sadhu Gram' in Nashik on 300 acres of land and at Trimbakeshwar on 15 acres to provide basic amenities like drinking water, toilets, bathrooms, electricity and roads on temporary basis atleast for two months, where thousands of seers are staying to participate in the event.
The health department has geared up to provide services to the devotees by setting up medical centres, mobile hospital, and arranging adequate ambulances, staff and stock of medicines, including for snake-bite, as both the 'sadhu grams' are set up on agricultural lands and due to rainy season there are chances of snake-bites, Nashik civil surgeon Dr Eknath Male said.
The health department has set up a 200-bed building in civil hospital in view of the Kumbh Mela and also increased the bed capacity in rural hospitals, he said.
A team of five medical experts has been also deployed in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar along with keeping adequate stock of medicines.
