Prominent Businessman arrested by CBI in Saradha case

CBI today arrested prominent businessman Ramesh Gandhi for his alleged involvement in Saradha chit fund scam, said Kanchan Prasad, CIO, CBI.

Gandhi, who allegedly played the role of a middleman to ink a deal between a TV channel and Saradha, is the managing director of Rainbow Production Ltd, Kolkata.

He was allegedly associated with Saradha Group CMD Sudipta Sen . Huge funds were allegedly transferred in his own account and company account as well from the account of Sen. Gandhi was picked up from his residence late this evening and taken to CGO, eastern head quarter of CBI. He would be produced before the court tomorrow.
