Central Hindi Institute, an educational arm of the Union Human Resource Development Ministry, today announced the list of winners in different categories.

AGRA: Twenty-six writers, including two Japanese and American professors, will be awarded the prestigious Hindi Sevi Samman by President Pranab Mukherjee for their efforts to promote the language.

Central Hindi Institute, an educational arm of the Union Human Resource Development Ministry, today announced the list of winners in different categories.

They will be honoured at the Rashtrapati Bhavan next month.

Fujii Takeshi ( Japan) and Gabriela Nik Ilieva ( USA) will be presented George Grearson Award in the Foreign Hindi Writers category.

In the NRI category, Pushpita Avasthi (Netherlands) and Padmesh Gupta (London) will be presented the award.

Writers from non-Hindi speaking states who have been chosen for the award are S Shesharatnam (Vishakhapatnam), M Govind Rajan (Chennai), Harmahendra Singh Bedi (Amritsar) and H Subadani Devi (Imphal).

Rahul Dev and Baldev Bhai Sharma will be presented the Ganesh Shankar Vidhyarthi Award for their contribution to Hindi journalism.
