A local court today asked Patna police to produce Hasan Ali Khan, arrested in a multi-crore money laundering scam, before it by April 30.

PATNA: A local court today asked Patna police to produce Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan, arrested in a multi-crore money laundering scam, before it by April 30.

Chief Judicial Magistrate S P Singh allowed Patna police to issue warrant for Hasan Ali Khan, lodged in Arthur Road jail in Mumbai.

Singh asked the police to produce him by April 30, 2010. Patna police had on March 24 seized documents from the Regional Passport Office here relating to issuance of passport on a fake address to Hasan Ali Khan.

"We visited the office of the RPO here and seized all the documents, including 97 files relating to the passport issued to Khan," city Superintendent of Police Shivdip Lande had said.

Patna police had made it clear that it would continue to probe how Khan, accused of stashing away billions of dollars abroad, got a passport from Patna on a fake address.

The Regional Passport Officer, Patna had on November 19, 2010 lodged an FIR against Khan for submitting fake residential proof.

In his passport application, Khan had given Pathantoli locality in Alamganj area in Patna as his address and Belsand village in Sitamarhi district as the permanent address, official sources said.
