Process of nation-building to receive greater impetus if Ram Nath Kovind elected: Assam CM

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday exuded confidence saying that NDA’s presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind will win by a huge margin.

Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sonowal accompanied Kovind as he filed his nomination papers.

The Assam CM, who was among Kovind’s proposers, termed Kovind’s victory a foregone conclusion. “Kovind ji will win with a huge margin and he will emerge as a very efficient and capable President. All of us have assembled here to show our solidarity with him. The nation will be immensely benefited from his knowledge and experience,” he said.

Sonowal said with Kovind’s election as President, the process of nation-building will receive greater impetus. “Kovind’s nomination is a good news for the people of Assam and the Northeast. The entire region will see a new dimension in terms of all-round development in the future with his election as President,” he said.
