Probe on into stone-pelting on Nitish Kumar's cavalcade

A person based in Buxar said, "police are looking into the incident from different angles. There might be a conspiracy to defame the CM."

NEW DELHI: Two days after Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s cavalcade was pelted with stones and bricks at Nandan village in Buxar, the state administration continued its efforts to ascertain reasons behind the incident.

The CM visited Nandan village on Friday to assess the ground reality of development schemes as part of his statewide Vikas Samiksha Yatra. Although Kumar was not harmed, a few security personnel were injured in the incident.

“Police are looking into the incident from different angles. There might be a conspiracy to defame the CM,” a person based in Buxar told ET on condition of anonymity. Meanwhile, Patna divisional commissioner Anand Kishore and IG (Patna zone) NH Khan visited the village on Saturday. They will soon submit their reports, the person said.
