Probe Mayawati for selling tickets: Dayashankar Singh
“I stick to my claim that tickets are sold by Mayawati. It can be probed by any agency,” Singh said. Singh was granted bail by the Mau local court on Saturday.

Singh, who was granted bail by the Mau local court on Saturday, was given a warm welcome on his release from jail on Sunday.
“I stick to my claim that tickets are sold by Mayawati. It can be probed by any agency,” Singh said. He challenged Mayawati to contest next years assembly polls from any general seat and promised to field his wife Swati Singh against her.
Swati had been holding the fort in defending Dayashankar and her family, first when her husband went underground and later when he was jailed. Dayashankar Singh had made derogatory remarks against Mayawati and also accused her of selling tickets to candidates.
It led to a strong backlash from the BSP which held a protest in Lucknow where some BSP leaders made derogatory remarks against Dayashankar’s wife and minor daughter. It was after this that Swati raised the issue of her and daughter’s dignity and honour trying to turn the tables against BSP.
He said his small mistake was turned into a caste and class war. “I made a small mistake. But i was treated worse than criminals. For the same mistake BSP leaders are still not brought to book,” Singh said.
