Pro Pak Slogan: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah promises action after FSL report
A war of words broke out between the Congress and BJP-JDS combine over visuals of people shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad' after Naseer Hussain's victory. The government vowed not to go soft and the Congress launched a counter attack.

A war of words has broken out between the Congress and BJP-JDS combine after news channels aired visuals of some men shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad" on Tuesday night after Syed Naseer Hussain emerged victorious in the Rajya Sabha polls. The government has referred the visuals for an FSL examination after the authenticity of the visuals came under question. Some leaders said the visuals were fabricated as people actually were shouting 'Naseer Saab" Zindabad.
The CM made it clear that there was no question of the government going soft if anyone had raised pro-Pak slogans, while the Congress mounted a counter attack on the BJP-JDS combine which held demonstrations in Bengaluru demanding action on the slogan-shouters.
IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge took serious exception to Union MoS (MeitY) Rajeev Chandrasekhar's comments on Naseer Hussain and described them as an attempt by him to secure a cabinet berth and favour with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"It appears that the key to securing a cabinet position and favour with PM @narendramodi It appears that the key to securing a cabinet position and favour with PM @narendramodi is by serving as the chief disseminator of fake news and misinformation." Kharge tweeted in response to Chandrasekhar's attacks on Hussain. "Shameless and dangerous appeasement politics of Rahul's Cong - even as he's on his #BharatTodoYatra", the MoS posted on X.
"The Minister of IT is resorting to desperate measures to gain the PM's attention, even at the expense of rupturing the state's social fabric, despite gaining everything from it. These kinds are the real anti-nationals and anti-Kannadigas," Kharge said, adding, "Karnataka's central government ministers seem to speak up solely to propagate misinformation, remaining silent when the state faces injustice."
"Whenever the BJP faces challenges in the country, this "Pakistan Zindabad" sound is heard!," Kharge said in an earlier post.
