Priyanka Gandhi says ready to meet victims anywhere but won't leave without meeting them

Priyanka Gandhi however said she is open to meeting the families outside Sonbhadra district limits too.

Priyanka Gandhi says won't leave without meeting the victims of Sonbhadra
Completing a 24-hour sit-in at the Chunar Fort in Mirzapur, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has said she will not leave without meeting the families of the Sonbhadra victims and has told the Uttar Pradesh government that she is open to meeting the families outside Sonbhadra district limits too. This could lead to a breakthrough if the UP government allows the families to come to Mirzapur for a meeting with Gandhi.

Gandhi also questioned why no senior leader from the BJP had visited the families so far and said she would not seek bail in the case lodged against her under Section 151 CrPC and rather go to jail if the need be.

"I am ready to meet the families in Mirzapur or Varanasi or anywhere outside Sonbhadra given prohibitory orders are in place there - I will leave if I meet the families at any place as this was my main aim of coming here. I have told the authorities clearly that I will not leave without meeting the families," Gandhi said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is also reaching Mirzapur to meet Gandhi.
