The motion was moved by chief whip Nirmal Ghosh, Minister of Parliamentary minister of parliament minister of parliamentary Affairs Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay and Municipal Affairs minister Firhad Hakim and Sports & Youth Affairs Aroop Biswas.
The Speaker said provocative speech has been made by LoP Suvendu Adhikari. You cannot think assembly is weak. It is not weak."
The Speaker confirmed that Privilege Motion has been brought against LoP Suvendu Adhikari.
"LoP is giving provocative speech. So he should make public apology," the Speaker said.
Leader of Opposition in West Bengal assembly Suvendu Adhikari and three other BJP legislators were suspended on Monday by the Bengal assembly Speaker Biman Bandopadhyay for the next 30 days or till the end of the session from the assembly proceedings.
MLA Biswanath Karak was not present in the House during the period When he was suspended, BJP claimed.
The Speaker said if Karak thinks he was not ptresent at the House, he can go to the Privilege Committee.
