Prithviraj Chavan to stay, but powers cut

In spite of tremendous pressure mounted on by a section of Congress leaders, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is not going to be shunted out from his post.

However his wings are likely to be clipped with the Congress deciding to replace the current State Congress President Manikrao Thakre with either Ashok Chavan or Narayan Rane.
