Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend Narmada Yatra in Gujarat on September 17

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit his election bound home state of Gujarat on September 17 after a month-long hiatus.

GANDHINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit his election bound home state of Gujarat on September 17 after a month-long hiatus.

Modi may participate in the culmination of the Narmada Mahotsav Yatra the state government is planning to take out between September 6 and September 15.

The yatra was initially planned for July August, but with the rains and successive floods in the state, the programme was postponed.


The state government is planning to take out as many as 80 chariots across the state during the yatra, which would travel across villages and inform people about the benefits of the Narmada project, various government schemes along with “the black deeds of the Congress that constantly created impediments in NarmadaProject,” read a statement from party.
