Prime Minister Narendra Modi extends Tamil New year greetings

CHENNAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted Tamilians on the occasion of the Tamil New Year.

"My best wishes to my Tamil friends on Puthandu (new year). I pray that the coming year marks the fulfilment of all your wishes & brings happiness," he said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The Prime Minister extended his greetings both in Tamil and English, as did his cabinet colleague and Minister of state for Power, Piyush Goyal.
