Prime Minister Modi calls for ending digital divide in the country
While emphasising on the need to bridge the digital divide in the country, Modi said that the foundations of "New India" will be laid on technological revolution.

The prime minister, in his address to the students and faculty members and those present on the occasion, spoke about the need to bridge the digital divide in the country.

The prime minister also invited students to participate in the process of bringing change to the lives of people through need-based innovation.
He spoke about the JAM ( Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile) trinity which has brought government closer to the people. Speaking on Aadhaar, Modi said that the massive data bank created through the collection of biometric data will help in empowering people.
Prime Minister Modi also underlined the role of digital literacy in making India cashless.
