Prime Minister Manmohan Singh pressurized by capitalists, says CPI leader B B Bardhan

CPI leader B B Bardhan today alleged that PM was pressurized by captialists to follow 'anti-people' economic policies.

PATNA: CPI leader B B Bardhan today referred to the 'Times' magazine report describing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an underachiever and alleged that he was pressurized by captialists to follow 'anti-people' economic policies.

Bardhan, a central secretariat member of the party, talking to reporters here said the prime minister should reply to the magazine's ratings.

He said that the Left parties would continue to fight it.

Bardhan also accused Union Home minister P Chidambaram of being insensitive to the people's interests and said he should be dropped from the union cabinet.

Reacting to Chidambram's controversial remarks in Bangalore, Bardhan told reporters, "He should be thrown out of the cabinet."
