Prime accused of fake currency racket arrested in J-K

Police has arrested prime accused in fake currency case from Doda.

JAMMU: Continuing its investigation into the fake currency racket in which five persons were arrested, police has arrested the prime accused in the case from Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

During interrogation of the accused persons, police raided a house in Doda city and arrested Khalid Munshi late last night, officials said.

On specific information, police on Sunday arrested five persons, including a police constable, and recovered fake currency of face value Rs 4,000 from their possession near B C Road area of the city, they said.

They have been identified as Varinder Sharma (police constable), Abdul Hameed (JMC employee), Majeed Hussain, Narinder Kumar and Rajinder Singh.
