Prez congratulates ISRO for GSAT launch

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee today congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for the successful launch of India's latest communication satellite GSAT-15.

In a message to Chairman of ISRO A S Kiran Kumar, the President said the launch of GSAT-15 marks an important landmark in the space programme and would help strengthen the infrastructure of India's satellite navigation as well as communication.

"This achievement demonstrates, yet again, India's capabilities in space launch technology," he said asked him to convey his greetings to other team members to whom this "nation is grateful for their hard work and proud of their accomplishments."
