“A cloud of misrule is over; a rainbow coalition is forming. The colours of rainbow complement each other and they don’t contradict,” Singhvi said.
The need of the hour for is to prevent division of votes which would help the BJP, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi said after a rally of the anti-BJP forces in the city.

Singhvi is believed to have worked to bridge the gap between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and West Bengal CM Mamat a Banerjee. In fact, he ensured that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul extend their support to Mamata’s United India rally on Saturday through separate notes of solidarity and also send a senior leader like Mallikarjun Kharge as their representative.

“It will be candid if I don’t admit the difference between two parties at the state level. But with two months to go to the elections, the need of the hour in each state like West Bengal is to prevent the division of votes which will anyway help BJP. Ideally, non-BJP formations in each state should start arrangements for seat sharing depending on who is the dominant power in each state,” he told ET.

“A cloud of misrule is over; a rainbow coalition is forming. The colours of rainbow complement each other and they don’t contradict,” Singhvi said.
