President undergoes cataract operation

NEW DELHI: President Pratibha Patil was on Sunday operated for catract at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here.
Doctors at the premier institute said the President was operated upon her right eye for catract.
The operation took place at around 11:15 am and she was discharged after some time, they said.
"We have adviced her to keep away from sunlight and dust for the next three weeks. Certain eye medication has also been prescribed," opthalmologist at AIIMS J S Titiyal said.
