President to arrive in Kerala on three-day visit

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President Prathibha Patil will arrive here tomorrow on a three-day visit, official sources said.

After arriving at the airport here, the President would proceed to Kollam by helicopter and after spending the night there, she would inaugurate the President's Trophy Boat Race at Ashtamudi Lake to be held on August 30, they said.

She would then inaugurate the valedictory of the centenary celebrations of Knanaya Catholic Archdiocese at Kottayam the same day, they added.

On August 31, the President would lay the foundation stone of the southern regional campus of IGNOU at a function to be held at Kannakakunu, Thiruvananthapuram.

Patil would leave for Delhi in the afternoon after the laying of the foundation stone, the sources said.
