President Pranab Mukherjee greets people on Ganesh Chaturthi

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee today greeted people on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi and hoped that the occasion will reaffirm faith in all that is good, noble and virtuous.

In his message, the President said, "The celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the God of wisdom and good fortune."

"Let us on this auspicious occasion, reaffirm our faith in all that is good, noble and virtuous. May Lord Ganesha bestow his blessings on all so that obstacles in the path of our progress are removed and peace, happiness as well as prosperity abound in our country," he said.
