President Pranab Mukherjee congratulates Asian Games medal winners

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee today congratulated medal winners in the Incheon Asian Games.

In his personal messages sent to each of the medal winners, the President said, "Please accept my hearty congratulations and best wishes.

"India is proud of your achievement, which has ensured that our flag flies high in the international arena. I wish you continued success in all your future endeavours."

Mukherjee sent the message to Gold Medalists Yogeshwar Dutt (wrestling), Seema Punia (Women's Discus Throw), Sania Mirza and Saketh Myneni (Tennis), according to a Rashtrapati Bhavan release.

The message was also sent to Silver medalists Sanam Singh and Saketh Myneni (Tennis), Bajrang Kumar (Wrestling) and Bronze Medalists OP Jaisha (Athletics), Narsingh Pancham Yadav (Wrestling), Naveen Kumar (Athletics), Lalita Babar(Athletics) Yuki Bhambri and Shri Divij Sharan (Tennis), Sania Mirza and Prarthana Thombare (Tennis Women's Doubles), M R Poovamma (Athletics), Rajiv Arokia (Athletics) amd Manju Bala (Athletics).
