91-year-old Lee, Singapore's founding father who dominated the country's politics for more than half a century, died of severe pneumonia today.

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the passing away of Singapore's first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.

The President said that Asia mourns the loss of a towering leader.

"Heartfelt condolences on sad demise of former PM Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore, Asia will mourn the loss of a towering leader," Mukherjee said in a tweet.
