President Pranab Mukherjee condoles death of Kamla Advani

NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee today expressed condolences over the death of Kamla Advani, wife of Senior BJP leader L K Advani.

In his messages on micro-blogging site Twitter, Mukherjee expressed his "heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Smt. Kamla Advani, wife of Shri Lal Krishna Advani".

"I fondly recall many visits of Smt. Kamla Advani to Rashtrapati Bhavan accompanying Advanji and her endearing presence.

"Smt. Kamla Advani was soft, cultured and left a lasting impression on whomsoever she met," he wrote.

Kamla Advani (83) died today at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to heart failure.
