President Patil in Hyderabad, on six-day visit to state

President Pratibha Patil arrived in Hyderabad today on a six-day visit to Andhra Pradesh.

HYDERABAD: President Pratibha Patil arrived here today on a six-day visit to Andhra Pradesh.

Patil was accorded a ceremonial reception after she arrived at the Begumpet airport by a special Indian Air Force plane at around 1230 hrs.

The President was received by Governor ESL Narasimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ministers Ponnala Laxmaiah, Geeta Reddy, Mukesh Goud, former Chief Minister K Rosaiah, and Chief Secretary S V Prasad.

The President then went to Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad where she would be staying during the visit.

She will address the students at the Indian School of Business (ISB) on July 4, visit Bharat Dynamics Limited the next day, and leave for Tirupati on July 6, where she will address a seminar on `Women Empowerment'.

On July 7, the President will inaugurate Annadanam Complex in Tirumala and leave for Mumbai the same evening.
