Preity Zinta-Ness Wadia case: Witnesses ‘refuse’ to divulge details
MUMBAI: The Mumbai police have examined two people in connection with actor Preity Zinta’s complaint accusing former boyfriend and industrialist Ness Wadia of abusing and molesting her during an IPL match here last month.

Officials at the Marine Drive police station, where she filed the complaint, said they are likely to summon Wadia to take his statement after talking to some more witnesses.

Without naming the witness examined, police officials said the two were uncooperative.

Meanwhile, the police apparently didn’t get any leads from the CCTV footage from the area as cameras were panning through the crowd and not focused on any location. Police said that they would be trying to seek more witnesses who are willing to give their statement.

They are also waiting for the actor to return from Los Angeles to seek details from her. After registering the FIR against Wadia, who was also her business partner as a co-owner of an IPL cricket team, she has gone abroad and until Sunday the police were unable to get in touch with her.

Sources close to Wadia said that he was shocked by the allegations and would provide an explanation on this.

The police will also seek emails or text messages between the actor and Wadia that they believe would shed more light on the differences between the two.
