Pre-nupital agreement in nascent stage: Maneka Gandhi

NEW DELHI: The conceptualisation of a pre-nuptial agreement is being deliberated upon by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Union Minister Maneka Gandhi informed Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

"The conceptualisation of pre-nuptial agreements in India by Ministry of Women and Child Development is at very nascent stage. The Ministry held a consultation on 23 November, 2015, with experts in law, social workers and others to get all points of view," Gandhi said in a written reply.
