Pramod Muthalik, activist Cedric Prakash won't be allowed to disturb peace: Manohar Parrikar
"I assure Goa's people, no person be it Muthalik or Cedric Prakash, will be permitted to disturb peace in the state," said Manohar Parrikar

"I assure Goa's people, no person be it Muthalik or Cedric Prakash, will be permitted to disturb peace in the state. We will take action against them. My warning is conditional. The action will be taken only if they try to disturb peace," Parrikar said in the Goa Legislative Assembly during Question Hour.
Muthalik had earlier announced his intention to start a branch in the state of Sri Ram Sene outfit, which is infamous for the 2009 Mangalore pub attack.
Prakash, the director of Ahmedabad-based Jesuit centre for human rights, justice and peace, is known to deliver speeches against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Parrikar today accused media and few politicians of giving undue mileage to Muthalik.
"Some newspapers and politicians are trying to instigate people from non-existing threat," he alleged.
The issue was raised by Congress legislator Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, who had questioned whether any FIR was filed against Muthalik.
In a written reply, Parrikar told the member that on May 29, 2014, a complaint was filed by Vaman Chodankar and Durgadas Kamat against Muthalik, but there is no FIR against him in the state.
