Pradeep Kapur is new Indian Ambassador to Chile

Pradeep Kumar Kapur, Joint Secretary in the Minister of External Affairs and currently posted at the Foreign Service Institute, has been posted as Ambassador of India to Chile.

NEW DELHI: Pradeep Kumar Kapur, Joint Secretary in the Minister of External Affairs and currently posted at the Foreign Service Institute, has been posted as Ambassador of India to Chile.

Kapur is a career diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service, and has interest in the theory and practice of economic, political and cultural diplomacy.

He has been India���s Ambassador to Cambodia (2001- 2005), and has served in various capacities in the Ministry of External Affairs and in the Indian Embassies abroad. He has authored the book ���Ta Prohm: A Glorious Era in Angkor Civilisation��� with Prof. Sachchidanand Sahai.

He is co-editor of the book ���India of My Dreams���. He has studied at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Oxford University, UK and has been a faculty member at Georgetown University, Washington DC.
