HYDERABAD: Power has been restored to almost all the areas, including villages, in the cyclone-hit Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, an official release said today.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who reviewed the cyclone relief works, was informed that power has been restored this evening, an official release said.

"However, there is still problem in restoring power supply in five to six villages since electric poles could not be erected there due to complete water logging. As and when the water recedes, power will be restored any time," the release said.

All other relief works are almost complete, the release said, adding rice and other essential commodities were distributed to fishermen and other affected people as per the norms.
