Posters against TNCC chief surfaces in his home district

ERODE: Posters against TNCC President E V K S Elangovan for his veiled attack on former union minister P Chidambaram and his son were today found pasted in his home district.

The posters carried the pictures of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, P Chidambaram and Karthi Chidambaram, alongside criticising Elangovan for 'derogatory' remarks against 'some Congress leaders.'

The posters read: 'We are strongly condemning TNCC President E V K S Elangovan for his derogatory remarks and criticism against some Congress leaders.'

Elangovan, who had issued a showcause notice to Karti seeking explanation for criticising the party high command, last week made an indirect attack against him and his father.

Reacting to former union minister Jayanthi Natarajan's resignation from the party, he said " Tamil Nadu Congress would certainly attain salvation if one more person quits along with his heir," an apparent reference to the Chidambarams.

The posters also carried the names of other leaders including a former MLA and Chidambaram's loyalist R M Palanisamy.
