At the BJP's national executive committee meeting on Sunday, the post-poll violence in West Bengal issue was discussed after the Assembly election after the state assembly polls which was condemned.
The day BJP national President J P Nadda raised concern about post-poll violence in Bengal at the national executive committee meeting in Delhi, a BJP worker was hacked to death with a sharp weapon in Bengal's Bhagabanpur on Saturday night, in a case of post-poll violence.

Chandan Maity, a BJP worker in East Midnapore’s Bhaganbanpur, was returning from a friend’s house, when he was beaten up, captured and hacked with a sharp weapon. He was rushed to the Tamluk hospital with grievous injuries where he was declared brought dead.

Chandan was attacked and murdered by Trinamool miscreants yesterday. He was an active worker in Bhagabanpur East Mandal, BJP leadership in the district alleged.


Meanwhile, Trinamool leadership called the incident a result of factional feud in BJP. Tapan Kumar Maity, AITC District President claimed that the killing happened due to the infighting within the saffron camp and the AITC is not responsible for the death of Chandan Maity.”

At the BJP's national executive committee meeting on Sunday, the post-poll violence in West Bengal issue was discussed after the Assembly election after the state assembly polls which was condemned.

“The party stands by every worker of Bengal and get them justice through the judiciary. We will fight in the court.
