The Bengaluru City Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against the BJP Karnataka IT and Social Media Admin for a post allegedly seeking to defame Rahul Gandhi in the context of Pahalgam terror strike.

The High Grounds Police registered a case on a complaint from Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson CM Dhananjaya. The Congress leader accused the BJP IT cell head of seeking to stoke tension in the society and disturb harmony with its post on Gandhi.

A social media post by the BJP, the complainant alleged, used a picture of Rahul Gandhi and said every time he left the country, something sinister unfolded back home. The post, the Congress leader said, sought to defame Gandhi and lower his dignity, while seeking action.
