Politics a gutter, anyone can come: Alagiri on Stalin son's foray

The expelled DMK leader was responding to a question from reporters near here on recent comments that Udhayanidhi was in politics.

Expelled DMK leader and former union minister MK Alagiri today took a dig at his nephew Udhayanidhi Stalin's political foray, saying politics was a 'gutter' and anybody can enter it.

He was responding to a question from reporters near here on recent comments of Udhayanidhi, son of DMK working President and Alagiri's younger brother MK Stalin, that he was already in politics.

"Politics is a gutter and anyone can enter politics," he said.


Alagiri, Madurai-based elder son of DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi, was expelled from the party in 2014 on charges anti-party activities, capping the sibbling rivalry in involving him and MK Stalin.
