Police seizes 2500 detonators from Bankura district in West Bengal
BANKURA: In a huge haul, police have seized 2500 detonators from Bankura district of West Bengal.

At least 500 packets each containing 50 detonators were seized from a vehicle at Amdanga under Gangajalbhati Police Station last evening, district SP Sudhir Kumar Nilkanta said.

Bomb disposal squad was informed and they are at work to defuse the detonators.

As the police approached, the driver, including other persons in the car, managed to escape leaving the vehicle, the SP said.

Police is searching for those involved.
