Police guided by Rahul Gandhi’s remarks: Azam Khan
Samajwadi Party leaders and clerics saw the two men's as an attempt by the Congress party to prove Rahul Gandhi’s statements correct.

Gandhi said at a rally three months ago that he had learnt from intelligence officials that Pakistan’s ISI was in touch with riot-hit Muslim youths in Muzaffarnagar. The statement sparked an uproar and the BJP as well as the Akhilesh Yadav government in UP had sought to corner Gandhi on the issue.
Khan asked how Gandhi was privy to sensitive information only meant for senior functionaries in the government. “I think the way Gandhi got such sensitive information, if true at all, should also be probed,” Khan said.
News reports on Tuesday said a group of men in the Muzaffarnagar relief camps had told the Delhi Police that two imams had tried to recruit them for the Lashkar-eTaiba terrorist outfit.
