Police foil conspiracy to kill Dera Sacha Sauda chief
The police claimed on Saturday it had foiled a conspiracy to kill Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh with the arrest of two men, who were caught on the basis of interrogation of arrested terror suspect Harjant Singh.

JALANDHAR: The police here claimed on Saturday it had foiled a conspiracy to kill Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh with the arrest of two men, who were caught on the basis of interrogation of arrested terror suspect Harjant Singh.
The trio - Harjant Singh, Harbant Singh and Mukhtiar Singh - were also produced before the court, which remanded them to judicial custody for 14 days. Police said the trio were booked for hatching a conspiracy to kill the Dera chief.
Harjant Singh alias DC, a former terrorist was arrested by the police from Jalandhar Cantonment railway station on September four while his two alleged aides Harbant Singh, a resident of district Taran Taran and Mukhtiar Singh, a resident of district Ferozepur were arrested by the police on Friday.
The police claimed to have recovered two Mausers with magazines and live bullets from the possession of Harbant and Mukhtiar Singh, informed the sources.
Police claimed the three had hatched a conspiracy to disturb peace in the state by killing the Dera head. Meanwhile, the Maqsuda police also brought Amarjeet Singh from Patiala prison on production warrant on the information provided by Harjant and took him into police remand to probe terror activities in the region.
