Police conduct raids to arrest Dayashankar Singh, BSP protest continues
Dayashankar Singh, a BJP leader, had made derogatory remarks against BSP chief Mayawati after which the party expelled him on Wednesday night.

A large crowd gathered in Hazratganj, central lucknow, even as police tried to disburse them. Minor clashes were reported with the police even as BSP workers raised slogans and waived the party flag.
BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra came out and blasted the BJP leadership for its anti Dalit mindset.
"This shows the mentality of BJP leaders. The party is opposed to Dalit empowerment. Just by apologising for their leaders remarks they cannot brush the issue under the carpet. Dayashankar Singh should be arrested" Mishra said.
Senior leaders of the BSP participated in the agitation which started early morning and still continues. Heavy police deployment has been done at the BJP state office which is close to the place where BSP workers are agitating.
Dayashankar Singh had made derogatory remarks against BSP chief Mayawati after which the party expelled him on Wednesday night. BSP leaders had filed an FIR against Singh for the derogatory remarks. Police raids were conducted on Thursday to arrest Dayashankar singh who is still absconding.
