Police caution against reporting on Delhi gang rape case without court clearance
Delhi Police said it will not be lawful to print or publish any matter relating to the case of gang rape without prior permission of the court.

"The court of the Metropolitan Magistrate has taken cognizance of the chargesheet in FIR No. 413/12 today.....
"Since the cognizance has also been taken under Sections 302 (murder) and 376(2)(G) (gangrape), the provisions of Section 327 (2)(3) Cr.P.C. become applicable to the case.
Section 327(3) provides "that it shall not be lawful for any person to print or public any matter in relation to such proceedings except with the previous permission of the court," a Delhi Police statement said.
Earlier in the day, Metropolitan Magistrate Namrita Aggarwal took cognisance of the chargesheet filed by police in the case of December 16 gangrape of a 23-year-old paramedical student who died in a Singapore hospital 13 days later.
Aggarwal took cognisance of the charge-sheet saying a case of various offences including those of murder and gangrape are made out against the accused.
"I take cognisance of the chargesheet and issue summons /production warrants to all the five accused for January 7," she said.
The court asked Delhi police to produce all the five accused, Ram Singh, Mukesh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Akshay Thakur on January 7.
