MUMBAI: The police on Wednesday alleged gangster Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar was not cooperating with them in the investigators into charges of extortion, cheating and forgery against her.
"She is not cooperating in our investigations as much as we would have liked," Deputy Commissioner of Police Deven Bharti told reporters here.
A senior Anti Extortion Cell officer said Haseena complains of dizziness whenever she is asked any "material question" and has so far been giving "false" answers. However, the police has not started her cross-examination, he added.
"Even today, she complained of vomitting feeling and dizziness and said she wanted to see her family doctor in Worli due to which we had to leave her midway through the questioning today," the officer said.
After evading arrest for over month, Haseena turned up in a court on May 22 and was granted bail by a local court which asked her to appear before the investigators for 30 days.
Meanwhile, Bharti said the police would appeal soon against the bail to Haseena and is taking "legal opinion" on it.
