PoK refugees hail PM Narendra Modi for sanctioning Rs 2000 crore package
Refugees of PoK today said the package amount should not be seen as the final figures as a total of Rs 9,200 crore was required.

Members of Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC), an organisation representing the displaced members of the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), expressed their gratitude toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sanctioning a package of Rs 2,000 crore for the displaced people.
"We express our gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sanctioning a package of Rs 2,000 crore for the displaced people from the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) of 1947,"JKSAC vice president Amrik Singh said.
He said the package of Rs 2,000 crore should not be seen as the final settlement as the total amount required to settle the displaced people of PoK was Rs 9,200 crore.
"The Prime Minister while sanctioning Rs 2,000 crore had himself said that this was just a beginning and not the final settlement," Singh said, adding that displaced people had to wait for more than six decades to get this relief package announced.
Singh urged the state government to disburse the sanctioned relief package amongst the displaced people at an earliest so that the demand for remaining money could be made to the central government.
He also demanded that the state government should constitute a committee in which representatives from JKSAC be also included for the disbursement of the package.
