NEW DELHI: Around 5 lakh people have responded to Prime Minister Modi's survey on demonetisation. In just over 24 hours of the survey, more than five lakh people have participated and expressed their opinion.

Around 90 per cent repondents think that the Modi government's move to tackle corruption is brilliant. 73% gave it a five-star — or brilliant — rating.
On the fight against corruption, over 92% rated the government as either good or very good, 57% rated it as very good. Among the responses, only 2% have rated the move one-star — which means very poor. A staggering 86% believe that some anti-corruption crusaders are now actually backing black money, corruption and even terrorist financing.

The survey result was read out by IT and Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad at Cabinet meeting this evening, prompting the Prime Minister to say that it "reflects the mood" of the people.

Seeking direct feedback on demonetisation, Modi had asked Indian citizens to respond to a questionnaire regarding the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes on his official Narendra Modi app.

PM Modi also thanked the nation for its "historic participation", and added that it was satisfying to read the insightful views and comments.

“I want your first-hand view on the decision taken regarding currency notes. Take part in the survey on the NM App,” Modi had urged people yesterday to take part in the survey. Asserting that this decision is in the interest of poor and middle class, he said that his government is dedicated to eradicate the evils of black money and corruption, which have affected the people in the last 70 years.
