PMO wants to focus on success stories from citizens during its 2nd anniversary celebrations
The Prime Minister’s Office wants the focus of its second anniversary to be on success stories from citizens and demonstrative action.

‘Saal Ek, Shuruat Anek’ was the 1st year anniversary message of the Modi government. “This time, we are trying to identify the most successful initiatives that have yielded immediate results.
PMO wants more focus on demonstrative action and success stories from people rather than routine information on the government schemes and vision. The information and broadcasting ministry is identifying initiatives which can require more visibility and highlight how people have actually benefited from schemes.
PMO expects more than mere collection and collation as novelty factor of first year is over,” a senior government official told ET. I&B secretary Sunil Arora has held two meetings to discuss the same with spokespersons of various ministries on March 12 and 16 — the latter meeting was chaired by the minister of state for I&B Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
A model being considered is PM’s MyGov platform recently shooting videos of citizens benefited by the LPG Pahal scheme, LED scheme, Mudra scheme and electrification of villages.
“The focus of the second anniversary message has to be the impact of the schemes across sections of people, especially the poor,” the official said. This strategy comes out of the feeling that details on the government schemes are already well-known and a reiteration of the same would not bring the desired impact.
