CHENNAI: A two-day brainstorming session of PMK will be held here on November 20 and 21 to discuss strategies for the next Assembly polls, scheduled in 2016.

Party President G K Mani today said that a special session of PMK's Executive Council will be held on November 20, followed by a special General Council meeting the next day.

"The present political scenario in Tamil Nadu, 2016 Assembly elections and party development activities will be discussed and important decisions taken in the meetings," he said in a party statement.

The meetings will be headed by party founder S Ramadoss and his son and Dharmapuri MP, Anbumani, he added.

PMK, which had faced the 2011 polls as a DMK ally, has three MLAs in the present Assembly. The party had earlier resolved not to align with any of the Dravidian parties in the future, even as Ramadoss stuck an alliance with BJP for this year's Lok Sabha polls.
