PM to deliver 46th convocation address of IIM-A on March 26

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would preside over the 46th annual convocation function of Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on March 26.

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would preside over the 46th annual convocation function of Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on March 26.

"Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has accepted our invitation to be the chief guest at the 46th annual convocation function of the institute to be held on March 26," Prof Atanu Ghosh, Dean, External Relations IIM-A, told PTI.

Dr Manmohan Singh, will be the third Prime Minister to preside over the IIM-A's convocation function after Indira Gandhi in 1968 and P V Narsimha Rao in 1993.

The Chairman of ICICI Bank K V Kamath, an IIM-A alumni of 1971 PGP programme, will be the guest of honour on the occasion, he said.

The IIM-A received confirmation from Prime Minister's Office yesterday, an IIM-A official said.
